Beautiful day to crash my drone

So flyjng only a few feet off the ground and this tree branch just casually reached over, grabbed mini then released it after the props stopped and she fell, splat, to the ground. The battery fell out and prop was chipped, still flew, just damaged gimbal. The battery door latches but the movement is not smooth. I have no video of the crash though, was just getting it in position to record my driving.

One of the problems with winter. Not enough leaves on those branches to make them visible to the Mavic.

Yeah, I hate those sneaky branches too! Haven't hit one yet, but always check my RTH settings, and while recently shooting an old grain mill, had to take off under a canopy of branches. Had to make a mental note...DO NOT USE RTH on this flight because it would have to descend through the branches.

Or if you need to in order to regain bearings, be sure to abort before it gets all the way to you.
