Ok, I have seen the DJI Refresh, the state farm, and Asurion packages. But I am not sure which one to get? I want the cheapest one, but still want to be able to get my drone fixed.

Cheapest = State Farm or other "drone/camera" coverage if they cover your area with $0 deductible. Covers almost any incident including loss.
Refresh = good backup plan $99 to get in and $79 after your first crash, $129 2nd crash. Doesnt cover flyaways
Asurian = Not sure they cover drones. Give me a link.

Here is a link to Asurion (well a thread about it) Asurion - Putting It To Use - Pics & Follow Up

I just read that using State Farm may have issues if you file a claim (like making other insurance more expensive). I am under my parents insurance (I am in college) and so I dont know to much about it.

Take Asurion off the list...it sucks.

If you're over 18 you can get a State Farm standalone drone plan. Any claims would have no effect on your parents plan.

What state?

Say I go with the state farm insurance. Do I still get the 48 hour window like refresh or I can apply that whenever?

State Farm will have no bearing on the DJI Refresh, thus you will still have a 48 hour window

If your just a hobbyist do the AMA Membership which includes the Liability and DJI Refresh. That's a good easy start!

I have DJI Care and just took out a State Farm policy to cover both my Mavic and Autel X-Star for $60 per year. They assured me any claims would not affect my auto or home since those are separate policies. They said worst case scenario is the drone policy could be cancelled should I file too many claims.

It's a pretty nominal fee to cover theft, flyaways, or sinking to the bottom of the sea.
