Get a set of parabolic reflectors. Increased my signal by 30%. They were $10 from ThreeKing.

Look into the FCC mode "hack".

These work EXTENDERS. But note they are very directional. These and FCC mode will get you as far as the battery will last. Or farther than you should fly!

One thing to remember. All range extenders will focus the controller signal to a much narrower beam. This makes orientation of the antennae in relationship to the drone much more critical.

FCC mode is your best bet, the directional attenuators are more hassle than they are worth in personal experience.
