A view along a paved bike trail which runs the length of the Grand Valley in western Colorado -- from Palisade in the east to Loma in the west. Much of the trail follows the Colorado River. The wide spot affords an opportunity for weary riders to rest on a particularly steep section of the trail, the so-called Loma Incline. Visible at the top of the frame are the eastbound lanes of I-70 just a bit down the hill from the trail's end at the Loma Interchange (Exit 15). Three or four years ago, I used to pedal up the incline twice a day as part of a longer ride. Then age happened. Now I do it once a day in conjunction with a longer ride, but I do it on an eBike.
