Bird Hazard deterrent placements on drone

I have some DOT C2 approved high intensity reflective tape. It says, it consists of encapsulated catadioptric glass beads which are embedded in a transparent layer of plastic material.

They also mix those into the paint on the roadway in most states, and briefly, they used them in making reflective tshirts (those didn't stick so well)

The reflective tape is not supposed to deter the birds, as I am quite familar with the reflective material field. I tried using some reflective materials on the grounds to deter birds, which did not work out.

BTW, the reflective tape in your picture was believed to be made of PVC, which will not last long outdoor and usually a couple of months will make it fade a lot.

I would suggest not using such materials for outdoor.

The highly reflective material might make finding a downed drone a little easier in the dark, after a bird attack! LOL!

Birds are pretty smart, I tried to scare pigeons away from my garden with a plastic owl, last time I looked, a pigeon was sat on the plastic owls head. I’ve flown drones since 2012 and often attracted birds, raptors appear from nowhere and circle overhead but I’ve never actually been hit by a bird. I retreat and they soon disappear.
