Mini 3 Bonnie Autumn Falls - Falls of Bruar, October 2025 4K DJI AVATA2

A spot I have been itching to try and fly again, and this time - with Autumn colours and after a night of heavy rain - I think I may have finally done it proper justice!

Originally we planned on flying both AVATA1 and AVATA2, to capture some footage of the drones flying over the falls, but conditions were somewhat tricky, and Lee declined to fly, meaning it was up to me and the AVATA2...

I think I did it justice on this 3rd attempt, but I would be interested in hearing your opinion...

Thank you, they are very kind words.... I had fun flying here, been itching to try and do it justice since I last flew there 18 months ago - and had an issue that caused some vibration in the footage. I can see some other lines to fly the next time we are there, that will be even more dramatic, so I dont't think I have yet finished flying there

Very nice. So nice that I would have liked a few clips at about 1/2 speed to be able to savor mood of that enchanting place. Pretty courageous flying thru all the obstacles.

Thank you, hmm, yes, perhaps I should do another slower edit, with slowed down footage or some slower passes... The obstacles were not too tight, look closer than they were, honest

Truly amazing flying. Of course the scenes are amazing. My heart was going fast and cannot believe how you navigated all of the twigs.

Thanks hon, it was fun to fly... The AVATA's do allow you to get in really close in a way that doesn't feel as risky as with a caera drone - I have flown under that first bridge with a MINI 3 Pro previously, but it was nerve wracking and a lot slower than the recent AVATA flights... Worth investing in for that type of flying...

Thank you, it was a great spot to fly, weather was ok - the light was good if grey skies - and there was no wind, allowing me to fly safely close in and through the bridges and gorge. I enjoyed flying there and creating the video, glad it was appreciated
