I disassembled my Mavic Pro to fix the gimbal vibration mount and it went well.

I reassembled it and noticed my left front arm was flaccid. So I took it apart again and tried to reassemble the spring mechanism but couldn't do it. I think I may have broken it during the repair. Here's photo. Is it broken or is it just being assembled incorrectly?

Problem? Spring arm not snapping into place

Was unit in a crash? Yes

What have you tried so far? Tried to reassemble the spring hinge assembly

What device are you using ( iphone , ipad, Samsung , etc)? Pixel 3a

What firmware are you running ( aircraft, remote controller)? Not sure

What Go app version are you using?

Any modification?
(if so what)none

Did you change anything or install any apps? (if so what) no

Do you have a video or pictures of the problem? (if so post link)

These guys have some good videos on youtube etc: DJI Drone Service - Your Drone Repair Shop

When I reassembled my M2 (and doubtless they are the same) the key to reassembling the front arms properly is to "pre-load" the pivot spring to the half-way spot between its two extremes - then assemble it gently so it doesn't snap either way.

Where is the spring ?
It probably flew of when you dismantled the spring latch, why did you do this ?
The spring latch is not designed to be disassembled

I was able to fix it! That part was the solution. I took the part from my friend's broken Mavic pro. I didn't disassemble the spring, it must have broken when the drone crashed. Thanks so much!

The spring is in the photo, it's just the top down view so it's not very clear.
