Button fell off controller (and lost)

Flew a little bit today. Took the mavic out of its pack, walk around in a front yard, landed, packed it back up and left. Nothing rigorous.
Took it out for another flight tonight and noticed one of the buttons missing from the controller. Turned the pack inside out... nothing. No idea how this could have happened. I don't even remember what the button was for, but I'm annoyed that it's gone.

Is this common or am I just the lucky one? Wondering if DJI will warranty it....

I did not like how tight the small case was. special with the controller. So I pulled it out and put it a different case. not sure what it's from but it reminds me of a 8 track tape holder. you that don't know ask your parents . Dirk you'll love my battery holders.

I did not like how tight the small case was. special with the controller. So I pulled it out and put it a different case. not sure what it's from but it reminds me of a 8 track tape holder. you that don't know ask your parents . Dirk you'll love my battery holders.

My case isn't tight at all. It's a big ol' Lowepro QuadGuard BP X2. I had it a snug (but not tight) little compartment within. I really don't understand how it could have happened unless the button was just somehow barely dangling on there.

call dji Monday Customer service: 1 (818) 235-0789 tell them what happen and they may send you a replacement. you will probably need to show proof.

No problem, wasn't chastising you for creating a thread, its good for us to know, to watch for it.

The button does feel quite loose on mine, I hope it stays put.

maybe a dab of rubber cement on the inside of the knob. may hold it better BUT not permanent.

You can probably mold a replacement with Sugru. Its like mold-able rubber, starts out soft, and malleable like clay, dries to a hard rubber.

Pretty neat stuff, I've used it for all kinds of things, but kinda overpriced.
