Buying in the UK

I notice that the Mavic Pro is around £1,099 in UK high street stores like Maplins, but some online stores sell for under £800. I'm wondering if I should risk going for one of the cheapest deals. Is this safe - or have there been 'horror stories'?

If the online discount store is in China or somewhere you are likely to be charged VAT (20%) and customs fees before it can be delivered.
That accounts for almost all the difference.
Now that stocks are widely available the best option is usually to buy from one of the main RC stores here.
You may manage a few pounds cheaper but it will be a nightmare if something is wrong out of the box.
