Today (7/30/19) Fluidity updated the Aviator software. Regarding the Mavic Pro 1 you can now leave your downward facing sensors on and come to a full stop landing just with the thumb control.
After a few days of flying with this setup I thought it was still a bit cumbersome, especially when flying behind my field of view. Finally the realization hit that since the FT is attached over Bluetooth I didn't need for it to be in close proximity with my iPad/DJI tx. All I did was drill a 9/16" hole in my Skyreat tablet holder and secure it to the top of the mic stand with a nut. As long as I'm in Bluetooth range of the iPad (which I believe is around 40' or so) I have all the freedom to face the drone and still orient myself to the screen when needed. Now the only extra baggage I bring is the mic stand - everything else is already packed and used.
