can I fly a mavic with out a phone

I have got a mavic it only flew for about 20 minutes before wiping out my i Phones battery

i tried to fly it with out the phone as I still a fully charged battery with me but could n't do it

I am sure I have read somewhere that you pull both sticks down then push the left one up

I have tried this with no joy in both r/c and wifi mode's

Yes, it's possible to fly without a mobile device. Push both remote controller sticks down and to the center to start the motors.

FYI, if beginner mode is enabled, the motors will not start unless you have a good GPS connection.

It should work indoors after you disable beginner mode.
