Can I give images for free?

Hi I know that you can't sell your images if you haven't got a CAA licence but can you give them for free? I have been asked if my images can be used for a local website so was wondering what the UK rules are on this? Cheers

They can be given for free, if the recipient does not plan on using them for commercial purposes.

Ok they were going to be for my local Parish council website so that would be a No No then?

I don't see any reason why you can't give them away. It doesn't matter what the receipiant uses them for, as long you you have made no commercial gain and don't normally sell images, then you shouldn't have any issues.

I doubt very much if the CAA is going even question the council as to where the images came from.
