Can Mavic 2 zoom sensors detect another drone

I was out flying with a friend the other day, and we both returned home at the same time. While the drones came back to their landing pads at the same time it appeared that one had to cross the path of another, but one stopped and the other landed, then the one that stopped proceeded to land.

Seems like you've answered your own question to me.
Try flying them close to each other within a short distance of yourself
That way you can be certain

I had a similar scenario, but stopped flight whilst the other one landed

even at this range a friend who took these photos of my M2P from his M2P... he had SC and I had CS controller. Neither of us got any indication of one drone sensing the other whether in motion or hovering. We got as close as 5-8’
