This may have been pointed out somewhere in the forums already but I'm sure many haven't seen it, if so: Transport Canada has an "infographic" that users can download for reference regarding drone rules in Canada (here).
On that infographic is the below wording. Read it carefully. Now, if your drone is less than a kilogram (as the Mavic Pro is) read it again in case you didn't get it the first time.

at least 30 m away from vehicles, vessels, and the public (if your drone weighs more than 250 g up to 1 kg)
at least 75 m away from vehicles, vessels, and the public (if your drone weighs more than 250 g up to 35 kg)

So which applies to you?

What they MEANT to say is this, as clarified in full below, as prescribed in Interim Order 8 from June 2017.

(3) No person shall operate a model aircraft having a total weight of more 250 g (0.55 pounds) but not more than 1 kg (2.2 pounds) at a lateral distance of less 100 feet (30 m) from vehicles, vessels or the public, including spectators, bystanders or any person not associated with the operation of the aircraft.

(4) No person shall operate a model aircraft having a total weight of more 1 kg (2.2 pounds) but not more than 35 kg (77.2 pounds) at a lateral distance of less 250 feet (75 m) from vehicles, vessels or the public, including spectators, bystanders or any person not associated with the operation of the aircraft.

Please, Transport Canada, get your act together and have someone proof-read the information you put out (and also put in the word "than" after "weight of more").

People who could only get government jobs ..................... they're the same everywhere.
