Years ago when I was flying the Air 2s, DJI Fly worked fine with my phone and both tablets. Now I want to sell the Air 2s but Dji Fly won't work with either tablet (still works fine with my phone). On my newest tablet, I get this message:

"Something went wrong with DJI Fly. DJI Fly closed because this app has a bug. Try updating this app after its developer provides a fix for this error."

When I go to DJI's download site for DJI Fly, it says "This app is only compatible with phones." And there is no download link.

On my older tablet it downloads but when I try to install it, it displays the message "App not installed. Tried it several times with the same result.

This used to work fine. Anyone know what happened and how I can get around it?

Note: All my devices are Samsung Androids.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure to first delete all traces of the app from your tablet.
Make sure to clear your tablets cache. This is very important!
*
Restart the device once these steps are complete.*
NEXT:
Download the APK file, Download the latest android version. ONLY GET THIS FILE FROM THE DJI SITE!!
Install the APK..Note you may be prompted for permissions during the install..GRANT THEM.
Your tablets should work fine again.

Thanks much Cafguy! I did uninstall the app and restarted the tablets. But I didn't clear the cache because I don't know how :/ And I tried to download it from DJI's site but was told it's only for phones. So I looked for older versions of the SDK but could not find them. I'm starting to think my tablets are cursed!

What model tablets? FLY works fine on my iPad mini 5 downloaded from DJI downloads site. Not sure about Android tablets but on my Samsung phone FLY works just fine.

My older tablet is a Samsung Galaxy S4 and my newer one is a Samsung Tab S7. DJI Fly used to work fine on both. I have no trouble with my Samsung S23 phone. Had no problems with my older phones too. Thanks for responding!

Not sure where you are getting the link for it but the app can be found here

Use apkmirror website to get an older version of the app, you may have to try a few to find one that works

This warning message from DJI is just not true.
You can safely ignore it.
Their app works just fine on tablets.
Thanks, but the warning message is right where the link would be. And I don't see any other links on that page :/

That's a link to DJI Go; not DJI Fly.

On the site below DO NOT click ANYTHING BUT the little black box down a bit that says "Download APK" NOT the big continue to Download...Dont click that!
If you need a different version there is a list at the bottom of the page.

Thanks SO much for helping! Actually, earlier today I found an old SDK on my older tablet. Installed it and "Bob's-your-uncle," it works great!

Owners shouldn’t have to jump through all of these hoops to get their Android devices to work with the Fly app. Even knowing what to look for and what answers to give, it still took me an hour to download and get the app to run on my Galaxy 15 phone. I’d like to go to a tablet that isn’t as expensive as an iPad mini, but that means going Android and having to go through all of that again.
I saw a video of a guy who used a Fire tablet for his father’s drone and it was very encouraging. Fortunately, I read the comments and a guy said an update that came out this time last year would no longer work with those tablets.

I think the issue stems from the fact that there are so many variations of android running on hundreds if not thousands of different phones and trying to write a stable app for that is about as easy as counting sheep whilst blind folded, where as IOS is a single OS across all the range which makes it easy to write an app for.
