Can't get NFZ to release

I have been flying for about a week now. I live in a NFZ that requires me to get the release authorization. I have gotten 3 so far and all was well. This morning, I went to fly my Mavic and I needed to perform a firmware update first. After the 30 minutes it took to complete, the controller still reads in a NFZ and I can't take off. I have a Samsung S5 phone that I use. Any help? Thanks.
