Can't update Fly app on iPhone

I have been flying my Mavic Mini using first an iPhone and then an iPad Mini for a few months. The Fly app updated OK on the iPad. But I stopped flying with the iPhone early on. So now I received my Air 2 yesterday and the iPhone won't recognize the Air 2 and keeps trying to launch the Mavic Mini. I think the problem is that the iPhone has an old Fly app version and I can't get it to update to the newest version (which will recognize the Air 2). I fire up the Mavic Mini with the iPhone and attempt to update through settings, but can't make it happen. I know, I could fly with the iPad, but I haven't received the 3D printed bracket yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Uninstall the DJI FLY app on the iPhone and re-install it from scratch
