Care refresh experience

Just wanted to post a quick story of my experience with Dji care warranty program here in Canada, I'm a newbie to this hobby, probably have 30 hours trying to fly with confidence, Last Thursday i crashed into my house, going to fast and not paying attention as i should of been. Did some damage to the body, and Gimbal seemed to be out of alignment. Started a warranty claim and they sent me a Shipping label with in a hour, shipped it off Friday morning and Had a new one on Tuesday morning. Very impressive turn around. 65 dollars and 4 days later I'm back in the air. No more speed passes up and down the laneway!
 
Thats a good turnround time, its the one thing DJI can get right all of the time

Kidding aside, I've always had excellent experience with CR the few times I've used it, and I've never received a refurb... always a brand-spanking-new drone. I'm one of those that think it's worth it, and always get it. Even for the Neo, $22.
 
When I saw the forum title I was hoping for a GOOD experience from the member and NOT another negative experience regarding Care Refresh. Glad to hear it was a good one. In all the time I have been flying DJI drones I have spent that extra bit of money on Care Refresh insurance. It’s that peace of mind you get knowing when the unexpected may occur…you’re covered.

One other side bar is DJI’s ‘Verification’ videos. Recently, I purchased a second hand Air 2S along with an Air 3…both without Care Refresh insurance. To get Care Refresh insurance on both drones that were both past their application expiry dates I had to submit a Verification video. Once accepted by DJI I was able to purchase Care Refresh insurance. All claims I have made have been dealt with fairly and in good time.

Just as a side note , ive heard that people who are using the CR for a Mini 2 are receiving the Mini 4K as a replacement, which is basically the SE with a 4K camera, how do i know this? a user on the litchi forum got that as a replacement and didnt know, Litchi refused to work on it and when he posted details on the forum he found out it was the Mini SE.

Albeit it was a new quad, but the fact that Litchi doesnt support the SE means that the app he paid for is now defunct.
 
That's a real bummer. Perhaps suggest he look for a used Mini 2 on eBay if Litchi is important? FMC is going for U$250-300.

I know that doesn't fix the CR issue, and I'm sure somewhere in the contract it allows for replacement with a different but functionally equivalent drone. Caveat Emptor to us all 🙂
