Love those old French buildings. So much history there. Always glimpses of some old possible tunnel entrance or high wall you can imagine possible invaders being intimidated by. Was nice to see the kids playing and imagine how many have done likewise over hundreds of years, then sat when elderly and watched their own children there. We don’t have any ancient European history in Australia, of course. +70,000 years of Aboriginal history, and fantastic and interesting though it is, lends itself more to archeological digging than drone flights over buildings! Although we have some really wonderful landforms it’s crazy to walk through or fly over and imagine Aboriginal people living there when Neanderthal people were still wandering Europe...
