This is my first time posting a question here. I want to take my drones on hikes that are usually a tough 10 miles or so. I have a Nanuk Mini 2 case but it is too big to fit in my pack and still fit in the other items I carry. I need smaller case(s) that will offer good protection to my drone & controller. The easiest way to carry the drone & controller would be a separate case for each. A case that would hold both would be a possibility but would most often it would be tougher to pack than two smaller cases. Does anyone have a case or cases they would recommend? Or, is there a solution other than using cases?

Got the same problem. I looked for something light to protect it in a backpack. I had been wrapping it with a Domke Photowrap. Downside it has velcro and collects twigs and leaves, very light. So I settled on this small case. Slides into the pack, not too terribly heavy, 7 oz. Not very expensive either.

I highly recommend the Lowepro Aventura SH 140 II.

It is a perfect size for the hub, drone and controller. If you don't want to take the charging hub then the Aventura SH 120 II is smaller and still fits the drone and controller.
