Hi,
I am new to mavic and drones. Trying to find a place to practice. I got the b4ufly app and basically just about almost anywhere in the bay area there is at least 'notification' need for helipads etc [I live near downtown SF]
I see on the internet that lot of people fly drones at the cesar chavez park in Berkeley. The app shows the children's hospital oakland helipad within 5 miles. Do everyone flying there call the number to notify them?
And in SF at my place it shows 4 heliports nearby. Do people call each one and let them know everytime???

I think FAA should remove the notification restrictions for people flying drones below 100ft or so. That will be great for beginners!!! :)

I've wondered the same thing. Most helipads don't appear on the sectional. Would that mean we aren't bound by the notify before we fly rule?
