Channel mode?

So maybe I'm just missing something. I have watched some YouTube videos and it seems that the mini transmission channel is set to auto. Mine boots up in manual all the time and I have to change it to auto. Is this normal

Yes it is, DJI has a dumb default

My Ipad mini 4 is defaulting to manual
My Samsung S8 is defaulting to Auto

Looks like the default to manual is an IOS issue

After all switch off - switch on (change the battery) my Mini is in 5.8GHz and Manual! Totally useless in Europe! I use iPhone 8.

Same here: running Firmware 1.05.00 and Fly app 1.1.6 on iOS. It always seems to boot up in manual even if I change it to auto then switch off. Annoying.
