I believe I made a mistake yesterday charging flight battery, I use the charging hub instead of connecting to charger. The was no prompt to update battery. Was this a mistake.

Only a mistake if it’s not working.
If your battery is working, you’re good to go.
You only need to “initialize/wake-up” the battery using the main charger cord to take them out of hibernation. After that (which just takes a few moments), you can charge the batteries up with the hub.
