Clear(ed My Head) Water Beach, Florida

Took a few days away from it all and visited a couple of buddies in Clearwater Beach, FL. Had time to relax, eat seafood, drink beer, and Mojitos and take pictures. This is a collection of stills I took. Will do something with the videos in the near future.

Nice footage, David. We just bought a place on Island Estates and are in the process of renovating with a finish target of July 3rd. We are going down for the long 4th weekend and I plan to fly while there. You've given me some inspiration.

I stayed a friends condo in the Clipper Cove Condos, on Island Way. There's an open lot across the street where the aquarium staff parks. I flew from near the shoreline there. I also took off from Pier 60 park, just west of the traffic circle. Even though it was busy by the pier, there wasn't anyone around me. I just went straight up and back down. One morning I got going early and walked to the beach. That's when I got the Pier 60 and beach shots. At that time of the day, there weren't very many people on the beach yet. I was there only 5 days and the first two were either rainy or too windy. I'm sure you'll enjoy living there and I look forward to seeing something from your inspiration. I've got some CWB video that I'm going to incorporate into my April video compellation, a project that I do each month.

Thanks for the reply, David. While the wife will probably spend more time there than me (looking for that Florida residency status), I hope to spend several long weekends there until I retire in a couple years. I will follow you posts and look forward to the April video compilation.
