Air 3 Commando Memorial, Spean Bridge

I am always a little reticent to fly at such a place, a memorial to the fallen, which is why I have not flown here before, despite several visits, and yet, this year with our Highlands visit being just before Remembrance Day it felt right to try and capture it, I hope my humble effort does the place and the sacrifice of so many some justice...

Indeed. As probably most know, these brave lads (as well as the lads/lasses in resistance etc) were so effective that Hitler issued his infamous Commando Order, with summary execution on capture. RIP all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Thank you, imagine the bravery needed to go forth, knowing if you were caught, then it could be immediate execution..

Thanks hon, it was an interesting spot, didnt want to fly too high, but a little elevation did work wonders..
