I am always a little reticent to fly at such a place, a memorial to the fallen, which is why I have not flown here before, despite several visits, and yet, this year with our Highlands visit being just before Remembrance Day it felt right to try and capture it, I hope my humble effort does the place and the sacrifice of so many some justice...

Indeed. As probably most know, these brave lads (as well as the lads/lasses in resistance etc) were so effective that Hitler issued his infamous Commando Order, with summary execution on capture. RIP all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
