Team,
I am a 25 year pilot and hold multiple FAA aeronautical ratings.
Part 107 is taken directly from the PPL test which leads me to believe that I do not have to obtain an additional sub-rating to operate a drone commercially.
Your thoughts?
I also read this from Skyward.com: " Every drone pilot who flies commercially must either have a traditional pilot's license or pass the part 107 knowledge test and receive an operating certificate." This is the only place I have come across this verbiage so far.
Thanks for any help and guidance you can provide.
