Compass Calibration

I've noticed that the MAVIC, unlike the P3 I previously owned, does not very frequently prompt me to calibrate the compass. In fact I've only done it one time and have flied in like 6 different locations and 2 states. Should I only do it when the app advises or should I make it part of the flying routine?
