Just today I spoke on the phone with a DJI person who called regarding another order (no problem). He said if I ordered a Mav 4 Pro from Canada it would be no problem to get care refresh but given the problems with customs getting it shipped back and forth was a potential problem. My take on this is that previously they repaired drones in Calif or other US place but are not doing so now and thus I've gotten conflicting information. I'm still tempted to order from Canada with a shipping forwarder. I think there was a thread here with a reference to one so I'll try to search that down. Tough call.

Well this is opposite of what they said which was NO SUPPORT for Drones bought outside of the US. I'd be very leery taking the word of a support person. Get that in writing.

DJI has only said officially that DJI.com won't be selling drones to US resident address for now.

THAT'S IT.

Everything else is made up.

Actually, it was no U.S. warranty on Mavic 4 Pro drones purchased in the United States, and the warranty is always through the country in which it is actually purchased. All Canadian purchased DJI drones still have a Canadian DJI warranty, regardless of where they are flown, which will only be honored by returning the drone to DJI Canada for warranty service.

Not everything else is made up. DJI also said there is no U.S. warranty on the Mavic 4 Pro. Even if you somehow manage to buy a Mavic 4 Pro from an authorized dealer in the United States, it still has no U.S. warranty.

What happened with your eBay purchase from Korea?

Completely correct info from the DJI person. The Canadian purchased DJI drone only has a DJI warrranty through DJI Canada. For warranty and Care Refresh, it must be returned to DJI Canada, and any difficulties with that are on you! Same with getting you your refurb replacement from DJI Canada. They can ship it, but can't guarantee that it will get through U.S. Customs. If it doesn't, that's your problem.

DJI still has warranty service and Care Refresh on all other drones in the U.S. except the Mavic 4 Pro, as they already have sufficient refurb stock warehoused here. DJI can't reliably get Mavic 4 Pro's into the U.S. for sales, so warranty and Care Refresh replacements are just as problematic, with no pre-existing stock of refurbished Mavic 4 Pro units already warehoused in the U.S., prior to current U.S. Customs issues.

DJI only warranties their Drones in the country of purchase. I would not buy a brand new DJI Drone from another country.

Absolutely the warranty is always thru the country in which it is actually purchased since DJI does not have international warranties on their drones unlike their cameras; generally.

I've noted the confusion over the M4P warranty in this thread: So how was the DJI Mavic 4 Pro launch (May 2025)?

"Made up" is probably a strong word. I probably should have said "Yeah somebody said it but DJI never said it." DJI never officially said there is no US warranty on M4P. Some of their reps on the phone might have said it but also some of their reps on the phone have said the opposite. And their website says even something else. What is official and what is unofficial is anyone's guess at this point. That's my point.

What evidence do have that any DJI rep has said that a U.S. purchased Mavic 4 Pro has a 12 month DJI warranty? In fact, DJI's messaging on the no DJI warranty in the U.S. has been completely consistent. You are the only one claiming they have warranty.

The evidence in the prior thread that you are obviously not reading. DJI rep and what they say is hearsay, not evidence. Go back and check my prior posts.
