With both the DJI and the Soar app on my moverio the connection option works both ways. Switch on the Mavic and then the controller wait for connection then switch on the Moverio and plug in to the controller. OR switch on the Moverio plug in and then switch on the Mavic and then the controller. Either way I get the splach screen of DJI GO App or Soar . Then click on just once or always depending what you want.

I start with the Moverio Dji go4 app not connected to the Controller once it's up I
Then turn on the dji Controller
Next the Mavic
When the Controller connects to the Mavic
I Plug the Moverio into the Controller
That's true it'll sometimes ask for Soar which I disregard and go fly

Old habit for me from other RC toys- controller first followed by Drone. I wait for the BT-300’s to be booted up and checking remote shows connected then plug in the USB.
