Controller stick protector on Shapeways

Hey all,

I was looking for a way to protect the sticks on the controller, and found this item on Shapeways. It's not particularly cheap, but the quality seems great and it fits nicely on my controller as you can see below.

At any rate, I always figure if you find something you like you should share it so:

I got the same sort of stick protector and was not completely happy with it. It fits too tight onto the sticks and can damage the rubber on them. So the first step was to take a drill coated with sand papter and making the holes slightly bigger.
Next, the hole especially for the 5-way button is too small, risking to shear the button during movement. So I enlarged the holes to the maximum diameter possible first but was still not happy. Finally I opened the holes as shown on the image.
The cutting edges can get smoothed by a cloth soaked with 2k solvent.

does it allow the sticks to bend at all? In my DJI bag...they are bent into the corner...

Here is another product that accomplishes the same but in a more elegant way and it's injection molded for more production level quality.
Looks there is a 1/2 off code 3APH2MC2 that is active, so take advantage of it if you need one,'
