A crow attacked my Mavic Pro 2 over Naches Peak yesterday. I was hovering filming Rainier and BAM, impact, then watching a large black bird flying away. It flew for a few seconds then tumbled downward. Hard to watch.

I have the location but its a cluster of trees. It was snowing and 24 degrees yesterday but i snowshoed in for the second time but found nothing. Ill try again in the spring.
At least it was insured. Now to see how that process plays out...

Sorry to hear that. That would be a very tough loss for me.
Post your flight logs in here. These guys are really good at pinpointing it after seeing the logs. Might make it easier for you to find.

My drone landed on the roof of my house and I couldn’t get to it until the next morning. That was a lost night of sleep. There is no possible way I could’ve waited an entire season.

Sorry for your loss. Best wishes retrieving it...after the thaw.?

If the snow was deep and soft enough, it might have survived the fall without damage. And given the temps, there's no melt going on, so it could stay relatively dry. I would check out (or post) the logs to try and get a GPS coord.

Chris

PS: sorry to hear about the drone. Stupid crows.

Thanks everyone. It was still recording when it landed but couldn’t take off, being at an angle. The camera view was covered in snow.
They close the pass and access to it in a few days til June. I got two images off of it before the battery died

Awe man! That sucks buddy!

Would your friends/kids/other family members not help you look one last time before you get locked out the pass?
Like someone else said the guys here do some genius magic stuff with the flight logs, i've seen them do it and it's crazy awesome!
Worth a try brother!
I really hope you have a good outcome and find your drone... ?

I found my drone 3 times using the last recorded position of the crash on my iPad. Just put the coordinates on a field GPS, follow the route and you will get from 6 to 12 feet from your drone. Once your GPS shows you the spot, put a flat into the ground and radiate around it with a couple of friends. You'll find it. It works. Good luck!

Sensationnel, bon travail!

Google it.

Mike Reid, here is another video showing how I recovered my Mavic Air after a crash due to lack of battery to come back home. Have fun planifying a recovery!
