Easy to strap one around the mount.

I believe that by default each time the CS is turned off it goes back to normal

Currently no but it’s been requested.

Hey guys here's a heads-up on the short cable attached to the DJI mount...if you remove the monitor from the mount you will notice a rubber pad...peel it up..it's just glued...and you will find 4 Phillips head screws...remove them and the locking mech. Comes apart and the cable can be removed easily.

No sir...it's very easy. The part that mounts to the controller has a rubber gasket on it, just peel it up and you'll find 4 small screws, just remove them and it will come apart

And it’s just a regular USB-C cable? No soldering etc.

Assume that cable cab be replaced with a longer usb-c to usb connection?

I just took mine apart removed the stock (short) cable and replaced it with a 2ft usb c to usb a...works fine got it at office depot

Why did you want it longer, my first thought was to make it shorter.
