Custom made 12 volt charging station

Hello everyone, I wanted to share my custom built "portable" 12 volt charging station. (Portable, but considerably heavy due to the battery). Its not the prettiest but it works.

I built this using a generic tool box, 12 volt deep cycle marine battery, fuses, some wiring, switches, 12 volt cigarette ports. (Plus 2x 2.4 amp usb port, 12v cable)

I actually originally was using this for an in the field power station for astrophotography, however I have up the hobby until I have a house with a backyard. (Equipment too heavy for hauling around all the time).

I use it when car camping as I don't normally have access to power. I have not tested it with more than one battery, but I'm sure if put 4 on there it would be slow. Okay for overnight charging.

It's sitting at 25kg/55lbs. It's not ridiculously heavy, but a bit awkward. Great for putting in the car and not moving around too much .

Do you run it in parallel with the car battery with an isolation switch so the car charges it when it is running?
