Dedicated Flying Device...

Apologies if this has been beaten to a pulp (I'm sure it has). But, I would like to have a device that I keep in my flying kit that that is ready to go, that is not my iphone.

As it stands it works perfectly fine, but I do have to pop it out of its case each time I fly, and that's kind of pain. A bigger screen would also be kind of nice for flying.

Anyway if there is a nice, reliable, cheapish device out there that I could easily set up for flying, I would order one today.

I second Robert's recommendation. I've been using one since last November and am happy with it. The screen is larger and brighter than my iPhone SE, though smaller than a tablet would be. Fits easily in my hard case and the battery lasts forever with wi-fi turned off.

Walmart usually has the best deal. They are out of stock online. You can pick up one here on Amazon.

The Sony Xperia Z3 works well too, you can get them < $100 on eBay. Nice bright 1080p screen.
