You're right ... you dunno.I dunno, maybe the one guy is spying....
I didn't see any.interesting comments on that videos.
Sounds like different charges in this incident, will have to look out for the disposition on this one as well. Not the first incident of drone flying at this airport........look here
There are plenty of things to 'spy' on there. It may or may not have been the airport itself. Perhaps they were 'spying' on something more specific like a particular flight, plane (not necessarily a commercial airliner), routine/process, crew/worker(s), fuel location/transport/operations, off-limits location inside the airfield, security, etc...You're right ... you dunno.
Why would you think they might have been spying .. at Fort Lauderdale airport?
There's nothing to spy on there.
They just look like two idiots with to much time and cash I don't think they will have to worry about either of those for a bit. There are plenty of things to 'spy' on there. Also, they could've been testing the airport security & LEO authorities' detection and/or response to a potential 'threat' and/or emergency.
It could be just about anything - you (and i) "dunno" either. But to say there's nothing to spy on there is disingenuous and just plain wrong.

You have an overactive imagination and a tendency toward paranoia. It could be just about anything - you (and i) "dunno" either. But to say there's nothing to spy on there is disingenuous and just plain wrong.
I especially don't like the way LEO said don't fly anywhere near an airport.
