Heck I looked on the official DJI site for a Mavic Mini 2 but for some reason I cannot find this model. All I found was a DJI Mini 2. Seems this section is worded wrong unless I am missing something????

DJI decided to shorten the name to "Mini 2" for some reason. However, it's still the Mavic Mini 2 model.

The reports you've seen are correct. It is in fact named the "Mini 2".
And it's certainly not a coincidence that it looks nearly identical to a Mavic Mini. Because, well, it's the second version of the Mavic Mini.
