Dimensions of gimbal for pro and zoom

I’m currently out of town and thought it would have been nice to bring my zoom gimbal, but I did not have a good way to transport it safely.

So I’ve decided to try and find a good case to carry it along with me. Does anyone know of a case currently being made for the gimbal or the dimensions of the gimbal so I can purchase a pelican case for this purpose?

I hope you can see the dimensions. At the moment I don't have a zoom gimbal that's outside of the drone so I hope this helps.

No problem. I will take some more measurements on my next repair, while the gimbal is out of the drone.

Just eyeballing it looks like 2 x 2 x 2

Here are some photos of the Mavic 2 Pro gimbal.

I might have miscalculated the depth of the mavic zoom gimbal since it was still inside the drone. This one from the Pro is almost 3" deep into the drone but the other measurements are 2" and 2"

No need for more measurements.. thanks though. I think I got what I need.. just wish I had thought about it sooner. I’m on my way to Fort Lauderdale for the week, and it probably would come in handy having both cameras with me.. next time.. lol

Please let us know what you find in the way of secure storage for these gimbles. I also have one of each for my M2, but haven't found anything I like yet.

ok. So here is what I came up with. I'll start by saying I'm not a fan of pluck foam, but it was cheap $13.00. I purchased this case at Harbor Freight. It is an Apache 1800.

Interior dimensions: 8-1/8 in. x 5-5/8 in. x 3-3/4 in

There are 3 layers of pluck foam. I did not have to touch the bottom layer.. so there is plenty of protection, and enough room left over for a screwdriver..

So I was in Sportsman's Warehouse today and ran across this little case and thinking about your box I decided to give it a try. Using the foam and wrapping the gimbal was shipped with I came up with this at about the same cost. The last picture has a pair of glasses next to the box to show relative size.

OD - 6.5" x 5.25" x 3.25"

That is perfect.. waterproof and keeps it safe.. no longer stuck with the current camera on the drone..
