I have got a quotation of either:
  • €79 for a replacement, including VAT
  • €97 for a repair, including VAT
What would be the wiser option?

To save the replacement for a bigger accident and assumingly a more expensive repair?

I'm leaning towards the repair and save the replacement for later it is merely a €20 difference.

Hey,

Interested in this topic!

What happened with your drone & damage impact from the accident?

I flew into a tree top.

Although I would hope that you don't have a more severe crash, I'd save the Refresh for the future!

As above - I'd go for the repair, and save the refresh for a bigger impact with higher damage costs (here's hoping you don't experience this!).

Sorry it took a few weeks before I got back to my topic.

I decided against better judgement to pay for the replacement, I felt that it would have taken longer to get the drone back if I would have had them repair it.

I had it deliver Tuesday the next week, after 6 days.

Otherwise I do agree with you sentiment and would give the same advice to save the replacement for a more expensive crash, but it is hard to follow own advice at times.

I am 50/50 on my own choice here.

Definitely saving $20 now instead of peace of mind down the road is well......
