DJI fighting to make it so you don't have to register your Mavic

Here is an interesting story about DJI doing case studios on weight. They are fighting to change the minimum registration weight to just under 5 pounds. If this goes through you won't have to register your mavic or your phantom.

Interesting to see some if the data based off such old reports. Again makes me question what the budget and money is being used for these days.
So is this guy in the video the one representing DJI? He seems to be questioning himself and at a loss of confidence in what he says. Maybe he just has stage fright?

Either way, it's a gold point. Other agencies shouldn't follow the FAA until they do more modern recent testing based off of new designs and metals used these days for planes. And they shouldn't assume the weight was picked for safety reasons.
