DJI Flip Crash - Need help

Good day!

I flying my DJI Flip and it suddenly crashed. I have notified DJI about it, and analytics showed that it was pilot error due to flying towards obstacles.

DJI Findings:

Flight Date: 2025-05-15 06:31:36 GMT+8 2025-05-15_06-30-47_FLY036

1. The aircraft worked under GPS mode

2. Flight Time T=473.4s,Relative Height H=-39.2m,Distance to Home Point D=24.2m,the pilot pushed the pitch stick forward，the aircraft flew to the front direction，the aircraft crashed with obstacles

3. The aircraft has no vision obstacle avoidance system

However, I wanted to argue that there was no obstacle in the area and that I am flying well above any buildings or obstacles. According to my RC 2, I lost transmission and then the drone proceeded to dive down.

I will post a 3D flight path and drone footage prior to crash Drone footage prior to crash (see drone footage). Kindly advise; I am a newbie pilot and have only had my Flip for five days.

Could you share more details about this? What leads you to believe that the RC 2 lost transmission and the drone then started to dive down?

Welcome to the forum and sorry for the lost.

I only found 6m 54.3s of log record (as uploaded by msinger), which equals to 414.3 sec. But you mentioned flight time T=473.4s. I wonder if there is another log?

From the log available, everything seems normal:

value of pitch, yaw, roll are stable and looks correct (at least in the last few second)
wind was calm and within the drone's capacity
RC connection was strong (100 for both up and down link)
battery looks healthy (stable output and charge cycle)
GPS signal was strong and stable

From that log, I cannot find any evidence (pitch, yaw and roll value) to suggest that it crashed with any obstacles.

If this was an old mavic 2(and this was the only log) ,I would jump right to conclusion that the battery popped out during flight. But this is unlikely in this case as the battery was new and temperature wasn't too high (and 48 deg C)

Another possibility is that the RC was switched off during flight.

I will leave the floor to other expert members to solve the mystery.
