A new drone named the DJI Flip has been confirmed by the FCC. More details can be found here.

And DJI continues to go the way of Apple.
“You NEED this golly gee new drone !, even though we just sold you one 2 months ago !”
Sorry, not interested. When’s it gonna stop ? When DJI drones don’t need a human operator ?? Just my 2 cents.

It all depends on what it's target application is.

With only this picture to go on, my guess is it's an FAA OOP compliant drone. Under 250g, heavily caged props. I'll bet unlike the Neo, it has a very good camera, and 3-axis stabilized.

It actually folds, although I don't think the sales are going to be enough to compensate the investment, this is like the compact camera era that died with the smartphones on 2016, but here consumer drones died by overregulation.

I've been flying drones since 2020 or so, I came quite late to the party but on this time, none of the people I know has bought a drone, nor I've seen more than a few tourists flying one; so it's still a marginal market, and it will continue like that while the oppression by overregulation worldwide continues.

So if there's no market and the sales are low (compared to other consumer electronics like phones, watches, bands, headphones, etc), why to flood it with more "sidegrades"?

Much like what has happened to major DSLRs/Mirrorless brands like Canon, Fuji or Nikon, they should leave a Neo/Flip for beginners (just one) and focus entirely on the pro series; but not so much that they turn into Skydio, which are only after government contracts and left everyone aside on their own gold fever.

This is a head scratcher. Massively redesigned Mini4 Pro, or fills that niche? Only a two bladed prop--that's interesting.
