DJI GO app - What does this button do?

As the title states, what does this button on the map display do? I have clicked it on various occasions and never see it do anything. Any ideas???

It erases the flight path from the map that is drawn when using the "General Settings" --> "Show Flight Route" feature.

ah ok......I guess I have never messed with it while actually flying so this is why I never see it do anything.

Again, would be nice if there was a manual that covered all of these little things instead of leaving it to one's imagination.
