Dji go4 control signal

Anybody having a problem with the new update for the controller?
I just did the update and when I look at my screen the signal strength flashes on the phone but on the controller itself it shows as a strong signal.

The flashing of the icon is supposed to indicate interference. Supposedly it's fine as long as you have a good number of bars.
