Interesting!!

Lets hope it will be extended to the Mavic 2 Pro and the smart controller. I could do with it because of the RAF training choppers that regularly fly around our location.

It won't be since it's a feature of the aircraft. All new DJI drones will come equipped with DJI AirSense.

Pity. I think that is a valuable feature to have. Does this mean I have to run the wife blockade and buy the Mavic Air 2. I might get away with it because she cant tell the difference between the mini and M2P such is her non interest to drones.

Will the Mavic air 2 work with the smart controller? If not my little scheme is shot to bits. THAT she would notice.

Per the Mavic Air 2 FAQ, it will be compatible with the Smart Controller through a future firmware update.

Be advised, currently, DJI is shipping the Mavic AIR 2 outside the US with NO Airsense.

As of January 2020 all new DJI drones over 250 grams will have AirSense installed.

As a minor clarification, not just the US, but North America is getting Airsense at launch. Don't want to panic the "neighbors" to the north and south.
