Hello Dears,

My DJI Mavic 2 Pro L1P Cannot take off, Below are the error messages it displays:
1. ESC status error.
2. Calibrating the vision sensors with DJI Assistant on a PC (I tried but without success).

Thank you in advance for your help

The vision sensors must be fully calibrated before any flights are launched. There are THREE versions of the DJI Assistant2, and the version for the Mavic 2 Pro is called the DJI Assistant 2 For Mavics. Even if you prefer to switch off all collision avoidance sensors to conserve battery power, they must still be calibrated, along with the IMU, compass, and camera gimbal. It is a tedious process that gets easier with repetition.

As for the ESC status error, other more experienced contributors to this forum might be able to shed light.

Thank you for you message.
Can you share the correct download link for DJI Assistant 2 For Mavics.

Note that when you connect your Mavic 2 to your computer via DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic, it can be very fussy about what USB port you connect to. If you plug in, but the screen still shows you the USB connection page (and you have no "Connected Devices" menu), then you have to try other USB ports.

I recently had to update firmware via DJI Assistant 2. For the Aircraft, it didn't like the first port, but was okay with the second port I tried. For the remote, it didn't like any of the front panel USB ports, but I managed to find a rear USB port that it liked.

NONE of these ports were via a hub (they are all connected to motherboard USB headers), but DJI Assistant 2 was still very picky.

The last time I calibrated sensors with DJI Assistant, it was not very user friendly, but I got it done. I recommend that you don't bother with any of this until you have plenty of time to do it slowly. Otherwise, if you are rushed for time, you may get impatient.

I successfully calibrated the vision sensor with DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic but the ESC status error problem persists.

Thank you for your help

I didn't see any signs

They can go from debris or water in the motor too. Me personally, I would put props on and make sure they spin freely, then try again with DJI Assistant 2. If you still get the ESC error, it's probably time for a trip to the service department.

1. Reinstall the firmware.
2. It is not returning with an esc error number hmmm. Try post #11
3. You can purchase the board and install it.

Sorry YES, If its under warranty 100% agree Send it back to DJI.

Has your mav.2 pro been flown either by you, or your friend since being bought?

When you say bought new: was it: 1) through an official source (DJI store or affiliate)? 2) an outlet specialising in 'previously loved' electronics or 3) from a private buyer?

If the first or second: you may have recourse for a repair or replacement through them. If the third: a reputable drone repair business can replace the ESC board. As already suggested, this isn't too difficult to sort out yourself as long as you're careful, methodical and patient.
