Thanks for the link. Exciting news for sure!

Hopefully, if the Mavic Air is what they are talking about, it will not have the waiting list like the MP, and they will have adequate supply for the demand. They did well with the I-2, P4P but not as well with the Spark FM combos.

As long as it isn't an updated Spark, I'm fine with it.

I agree. The only Spark updates I would welcome would be a 3 axis gimbal and foldable arms, but I dont think that's what they have up their sleeves. A Mavic update is long overdue. 18 Months since initial release is a long time for DJI to wait. Their usual update cycle is 6-8 months. The Platinum wasnt a real evolution, but the new Mavic Air version (or whatever they decide to call it) might have the MPP electronics inside.

As long as it uses Occusync and a wired connection to the RC

I personally think this is fake. There’s only 2 articles on the entire internet about it. It’s not on Social Media or anything either. Also, the image quality is pretty bad. And if you can remember, DJI used “a new adventure unfolds” to advertise the Platinum. Would they really use the same verbiage?

However, the only thing that gives me hope that it’s real is the post on this site where the man wrote about the DJI employee in Brisbane who said 2 drones are being released: A Mavic “Air” And a “Toy drone smaller than the Spark that flips.” This was posted at the beginning of December and that toy drone that flips has been revealed, so there’s some credibility there.

On reddit, one individual who claims he has friends at DJI says this about the drone:

-DJI Branded Mavic “Air”
-Smaller
-20 min. Flight time
-3-Axis Gimbal similar to the Spark’s design
-4K, frame rate adjustable
-$699 USD Price Point

This guy has recently deleted his comments, but I remember them.
