Dji purchases AFTER Christmas

So I guess my question is... I have a friend in Hong Kong. If he buys me an Avata360 when it comes out and mail or FedExes it to me in the US, is there any problem with that? I suspect he would just list it as a drone drone/gift on the customs form. Any thoughts?

just depends on customs, right now the Koreans are having no issues getting stuff through, but DJI can't get their shipments through

Most Americans don't care or don't know the relationship with HK and therefore probably won't even know the package is from China. /s

In all seriousness, if the Avata 360 doesn't launch soon, it might not make it here at all.

Well, DJI has a ton of dedicated sales websites for specific countries. If you buy on the HK page you pretty much have to have it sent to a HK destination. So I am not worried about my friend getting the drone. But I live in Guam where DJI quit sending anything to over a year ago, basically due to new procedures with freight forwarders. So it is simpler to just have someone who can easily get one and ship to me from HK. I just hope it doesn't get stopped entering US Customs here because it is DJI. I just have to try it and see I guess or wait until my friend and I travel to the same place and he can physically give it to me. I was just in DC last month and took great use of buying from Amazon and B&H and one-day service. Out here, with all the crazy postal changes in the last 10 months, it is more like one-month service to get anything delivered.

* as of 11pm Pacific time, Amazon still lists a lot of offers for Mavic 4 Pro, Air 3S, and Mini 5 Pro. Most are fullfilled by Amazon but are generally pretty expensive

* Adorama has the Mavic 4 creator combo and the lesser FMC but they are really expensive. They also have the Air 3S FMC, but again...expensive. They list the Mini 5 Pro offers all on backorder

* US Drone Supply has the Mavic 4 Pro, Air3S, and Mini 5 pro all listed as available

* Drone Nerds has the Air 3S FMC with RC-N3 for $1520

* At Ebay if you search for the Mavic 4 Pro and in the filters specify shipped from the USA there are still many offers. But I see some "almost gone" claims. Same is rue for the Mini 5 Pro and Air 3S

so I'm assuming parts are still pretty easy to get. But drone once the current inventory is gone in the USA it might be hard to find options...and if you do the price will likely be higher than now
I would get one that is already in the US even if it is more expensive. I just got a Mavic 4 Pro last week shipped from Japan. It was delayed in customs for nearly a week and I was billed $582 to release it.

Is it possible because you are in the HI? When you got one from Japan, I assume you mean from eBay, do you remember the seller?
