DJI RC question

Dear Friends,
Today i purchased a secondhand dji rc for my mavic 3 classic in perfect condition. The firmware is 1.03.100 and as i want to make it fcc i would like to know if i can update to latest 01.03.1600 or to stay on this old firmware. Is it ok to fly with this old firmware?

I doubt you can switch it to FCC unless you hack it ..... if that is even possible.

Hi. I don't know how you want to own the FCC. I have RC1 for Mini 3 permanently on the radio and the last supported version is DJI RC 1 01/03/1400. However, I stayed with DJI RC 1 01/03/0100, which is what the person from whom I have this modification permanently installed advised me. Perhaps FCC activated via a modified FLY APP from your phone can run on the latest radio firmware. Better check it out. Because in my case, if I updated to the latest firmware, I wouldn't be able to do anything. For this version of DJI RC 1 01/03/1400, the permanent FCC mod is supported, but the radio must have a maximum firmware of 01/03/1200 or lower..

The initial FCC installation is not available. Available for RC with firmware 01.03.1200 or lower.

But remember dont update to last firmware!!!

Latest firmware for DJI RC is 01/03/1600.
This firmware is not available on dankdronedownloader for now.
Do you mean downgrading the radio or the drone?
Is it possible to return to the previous version 01/03/0100 on the DJI RC controller, e.g. from the latest version 01/03/1600?
Is there any possibility to change the 120m altitude limit for DJI MINI3?

I am talking about to downgrade the rc controller. from latest 1600 to previous firmwares.

If the FW is not listed on Dankdownloader then you cannot downgrade unfortunately . You would also need to make sure the anti rollback decimal is the same, example is that you cannot downgrade from FW 01.03.1600 to FW 01.02.0100 - the centre values has to be the same.

Hello all, first i am very sorry i did a mistake, the firmware my dji rc has is 1.03.1400 and not 1600 which is the latest. But as i read more deep the only firmware i can downgrade is 1300 because of antirollback value (3). So 2 questions, with firmware 1.03.1400 is there any fcc permanent patch? Can i downgrade somehow lower than 1300??

Just first try this DankDroneDownloader from this website Releases · cs2000/DankDroneDownloader
upload a lower firmware version to DJI RC (RM330), which you select here.

For example, I recommend starting with V01.03.0100.
In version V01.03.1600 otr any lover if You have V01.03.1400, for DJI DJI RC you have

may be the key to failure. But you can try to see if the latest version of DankDroneDownloader from Github will work.

The minimum initial FCC installation available for RC with firmware 01.03.1200 or lower.
You goal to go here V01.03.0100 and next easy and fast install FC MOD , update to V01.03.1400 and again reinstall FCC MOD. All depend on working USB port, is open or not and can be debuged.
Maybe DankDroneDownloader use some special magic


Today I switched from V01.03.0100 to V01.03.1400 (the last one on the list of supported ones for this permanent mod DJI RC / RC Pro FCC - Updates FCC MOD. I have it and I recommend it.

Has anyone tried this? I tried this and it immediately failed. Same ARB value, I did use windows 11.
I emailed Dronehacks and they said that It is not possible to flash firmware on the dji rc. But it says otherwise in the app itself.

Is there anyother way?
