On June 24, 2021 DJI released Mobile SDK v 4.15 for Android adding support for the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced.
Conspicuous is that there is no iOS counterpart that is usually released simultaneously. For now Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced users will need to use Android to take advantage of third party applications.
DJI has for some time now had a notice on their developer site suggesting there is an issue with Apple not allowing new iOS apps with the DJI SDk to be released in the App Store but existing apps can still be updated. To leads to questions as to why DJI didn’t release the new SDk for iOS if existing apps aren’t affected. The technical reasons for Apple not allowing new DJI SDk apps to be released is suspect as the two companies have had a long standing business relationship with Apple selling DJI gear in their stores and on their website. In the past DJI has even made the special edition Mavic Pro Alpine white which was an all white version of the famous Mavic Pro drone which was only available through Apple.
Also conspicuously absent in the new SDk for Android is support for the Mini 2 and the Air 2s. The Mini 2 was released in November 2020 and has now twice been passed over for addition to the mobile SDk. DJI releases new SDk versions on an irregular basis but has averaged about quarterly or every trimester.
